Please feel free to join us in praying the prayers prayed in worship Sunday, July 20, 2025:
Loving God, creator of all things,
giver of every gift,
we give you thanks and praise.
You created all that is,
and breathed life into all creation.
You have accompanied your creation
from the beginning until now,
and, in Jesus Christ, you promise to bring us into the fullness
of what you intend for the world.
We give you thanks and praise.
Help us imagine with you a world
shaped by relationships of mutuality and sharing,
overflowing with your grace and peace.
For those who are hungry, we pray for food enough and more.
For those who are unhoused, shelter.
For those who are hurting, healing.
For those who are lonely, companionship.
For all who grieve, comfort.
For all the separations and divisions,
a world that is healed and whole.
All these prayers – make them so
in the life we live together.
We pray healing for this planet,
healing for the damage we have done
We pray for an end to every kind of violence.
Help us see the ways that we are complicit in systems that oppress,
and then help us stop.
Dismantle what needs to be taken down,
and give us the humility to repair and rebuild
a world where everyone can thrive,
led by those who have been harmed the most.
Loving Christ, in Resurrection
you give us life stronger than any power that can do us harm,
help us learn how to live as the Body of Christ,
to embody more and more, day by day,
your justice, healing, and peace.
Loved by you, in community with all those who have every called your name,
we pray the prayer Jesus taught, saying:
Our Father/Mother, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
