Please feel free to join us in praying the prayers prayed in worship Sunday, February 8, 2026:
Loving God,
from the very beginning until now,
you desire for this world
for all creation –
that we be healthy and whole,
that we live at peace, and in justice,
that all creation be free.
For that desire and that intention,
we give you thanks and praise.
Help us align ourselves with your good and loving will for the world.
In the midst of a hurting world,
we bring to you the concerns of our hearts,
knowing that love, and healing, and peace,
are always the concerns of yours.
We pray for the people of Gaza and Ukraine, for all in the midst of war,
for an end to genocide, and collective punishment, and bombs,
all the ways we harm each other, and unleash suffering in the world.
For those who suffer this world’s violence,
may they be safe, may they be healthy, may they be able to live in peace.
We pray for those harmed by oppressive systems,
particularly American systemic racism.
For all the ways that we are complicit, stop us.
For all the ways that our leaders stoke the fires of hatred,
and embolden the powers of white supremacy,
stop them.
Raise up among us better leaders,
leaders with wisdom, and compassion, and integrity.
We pray for those who hunger,
and for those who are unhoused,
for the refugee and those seeking a new home in a new land,
for those who are ailing in body or spirit, and for those who mourn
We pray for all beings everywhere.
May they, may we be fed, nourished, housed, and welcomed,
may they, may we have access to health care,
may all beings everywhere have everything that they, that we need to live and thrive.
Teach us ways of living that lead to more life,
that we might align ourselces with your good and loving will for the world.
Woven together with each other and all creation,
we join our voices with those of everyone who has ever called on you,
praying the prayer that Jesus taught, saying:
Our Father/Mother, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
