Thank You, Virginia Thibeaux

Updated: Jun 27, 2019

On Sunday, June 23 we celebrated Virginia Thibeaux and her remarkable contribution to this community as editor of the Kensington Press.

Nine years ago, Virginia took over the editing and production of our monthly newsletter from Diane Fairchild. Month after month, we rely on the KP for schedules, news, articles and important announcements. Now those articles and announcements are moving to email and the website.

Thank you Virginia! Below is the text from the Proclamation presented to Virginia.

Together We Serve Proclamation of Appreciation

Whereas Virginia Thibeaux has served as editor-in-chief of the Kensington Press, the newsletter of the First Presbyterian Church of San Anselmo, since March of 2010, and

Whereas Virginia faithfully and creatively wrote, edited, formatted, designed the layout, and added her artistic touches to the newsletter for over nine years, and

Whereas Virginia gently encouraged church members to contribute articles, thoughtfully suggested matters of interest to potential contributors, shared relevant articles from sources beyond the congregation, and patiently waited for late submissions, and

Whereas, on top of this, she has served as an elder member of session and continues to create dramatic and vivid liturgical art that contributes to the rich worship in our sanctuary,

Therefore, on behalf of the entire congregation, on June 23, 2019, we recognize her dedication and her service, and thank her for living into our congregation’s slogan, “Together We Serve.”
