Good Friday Service of “The Seven Last Words of Christ”

Our annual Good Friday service on “The Seven Last Words of Christ” with musical interludes from Noon to 3:00 pm featuring guest preachers and musicians. Worshipers may come and go (in silence) at any time during the service.

The service is named for the seven Scripture passages that describe Jesus’ words spoken from the cross.  A different preacher will speak on each of the seven passages, interspersed with music (instrumental and hymns sung by the congregation) and silence, according to the following schedule:

Noon First Words: “Father, forgive them…” Luke 23:32-34 Thom Taylor, M.Div., preaching
