Please feel free to join us in the prayers prayed in worship Sunday, April 13, 2025:
Faithful God,
as we journey through this life,
in your lovingkindness,
you meet us at every corner.
You go before us,
making a way where the seems to be no way,
even as you accompany us
every moment of every day.
We give you thanks for the beauty and bounty of your creation –
for the beauty and bounty of this springtime day --
for all the ways you sustain us and your whole creation.
We give thanks – and we praise you –
for your abiding presence,
your steadfast love,
and your tender mercy.
As we turn again toward the way of Jesus,
we are mindful with you of all the hurting in the world,
and so we pray
peace with justice, for all those suffering the violence of war;
freedom, for all those who struggle in systems of oppression;
healing and life, for the whole Earth – for the planet we have so badly damaged.
For pray healing for every hurt.
For those who are hungry, we pray for food enough and more,
For those who are unhoused, and those who are refugees,
safe shelter and relief from fear,
for those who are ailing in body or spirit, healing,
for those who grieve, comfort and peace, and
for those who are lonely, companions along the way.
Down through the generations,
your people have turned to you,
trusting in your steadfast love and tender mercy.
We join their prayers,
praying the prayer that Jesus taught, saying:
Our Father/Mother, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
