Youth

For our middle school and high school kids we offer a variety of youth activities including Bible study, singing, and conversations as well as mission projects, and fun field trips to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Bowling, caroling and summer hikes are just a few more of the fun things we do.

Mid-High Youth Connection currently meet at 11:30 am on Sundays for a picnic lunch, games, and conversation. Contact Diana Bell, Associate Pastor for Families, for the most up-to-date schedule.

January Youth Schedule:

01/08 – Start-Up Meeting and House of Air. All youth and parents welcome. Meet in Duncan Hall at 11:30.

01/15 – Make Your Own Pizza. While pizzas are baking we’ll play games and discuss Martin Luther King Junior’s legacy.

01/20 – Friday Night Shelter. Thanks to everyone who has signed up to bring food and participate in the Shelter meal next week (01/20).  We could still use a few more hands, so please let me or Barbara Shindelus (457-3863) know you’re interested.

01/22 – Why’s worship boring? We’ll play a games (outside if possible), learn an energizer, and then YOU tell me what’s going on with worship and your thoughts on how we might do something new.

01/28 – Saturday – Game Night. Potluck and games at the Conant’s home.  Please let David and Becki know what food you’ll bring and how many are coming with you.  This event is for all our youth and their families (parents and siblings).  Also, bring your favorite board games and get ready to PLAY!

01/29 – tbd – A mission/justice theme

02/12 – Coffee House. Bring your instruments (voice/guitar/violin) and/or your favorite sheet music and we’ll create a joyful noise together.  [more info to come]

02/19, 02/26 – We’re taking these two weeks off because it’s Ski Week.
