Sunday WorshipWorship services are held at 10 am on Sundays, and are largely traditional in style. Our preachers are thoughtful and engaging, and sermons are generally based on Biblical texts from the common lectionary used by many denominations. We have a vibrant musical heritage that enriches our worship—a choir, two world‐class organs, piano, and other instrumental music. Children are welcomed by name, and may either stay in church, attend the nursery, or go from worship to Sunday School after the Time for Young Disciples at 10:15 am. Read more→

A significant part of Christ’s ministry was healing. “Wholeness and healing” in the Christian tradition includes healing from emotional scars, healing for our planet, reconciliation between people and nations, healing of the broken aspects of our culture and shalom for all people – well-being, safety, fulfillment and peace – as well as physical healing. Music at First PresbyterianMusic in our church demands special mention, as it is not an uncommon reason people are first attracted to our congregation. We have two of the finest organs in California, and a wonderful organist/pianist. Read more→
Our sanctuary is graced throughout the year with spectacular liturgical art. Liturgical art is art in service to God and the Church. It is sacred, and as such it has the ability to connect us with the divine, and engage us more deeply in the mystery of faith. Read more→
