FPCSA is actively addressing the challenge of unemployment or similar transitions, for those within our community who may be struggling with such issues. Each Wednesday, the Transition Support Group meets in the Conference Room in the church office, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. Its purpose, as its name implies, is to network, comfort and support each other. A sample meeting agenda generally includes introductions, the reading and reflections of a Scriptural text, individual updates, and/or setting individual weekly goals. The sharing of each one’s current situation often leads to brainstorming within the circle … sometimes with surprisingly helpful results.
TSG meets every Wednesday morning from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in the church office conference room.
All are welcome to this group. We value how each one adds to the discussion (even in silence) and toward the purpose of encouragement. As we build community, with God’s grace, we empower each other to make it through various transitions and on to new beginnings, however small. We serve each other as “Together We Serve”.

The REST Winter Shelter is in its final weeks for the season, and volunteers are still needed. Folks from the church and the wider community have done amazing work providing generous and scrumptious meals as well set up and clean up crews. Our services and our sincerity have gone a long to making nights a bit safer and comfortable for members of our homeless community. Raquel Nelson will be available on Sunday, March 9th during Coffee Hour after the service for sign ups. Please come be a part of this vital service.
