We want to be a congregation in which mission—joining God’s work in the world—is central to our shared purpose.
Our commitment is evident not only in our personal involvement, but also in the way we share our financial resources. Throughout the year we gather special offerings dedicated to urgent needs. We also set aside a portion of our budget each year to support the work of non-profit organizations focusing on homelessness, hunger, children and youth, and economic justice. These organizations are our partners in building a more just and caring world.
Each year we send two peacemaking delegations to Palestine-Israel, one in February to plant olive trees and one in October to harvest olives Learn more
Since 2005, Afghans 4Tomorrow and the First Presbyterian Church of San Anselmo have partnered in the Bare Roots Project, working with Afghan communities to plant over 10,000 fruit trees and 2000 shade trees. Learn More
When catastrophic disaster strikes, we join forces with our fellow Presbyterian churches and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) to provide financial resources that can quickly address urgent needs Learn More
Many of those who lost their homes in hurricane Katrina’s deluge of the Mississippi coast were low income families with little or no ability to rebuild without help. Since 2006, we have sent teams of adults and youth in the spring and fall to help make a new or rebuilt home possible for some of our new friends in Gulfport, Mississippi. Learn More
