Many of those who lost their homes in hurricane Katrina’s deluge of the Mississippi coast were low income families with little or no ability to rebuild without help. Since 2006, we have sent teams of adults and youth in the spring and fall to help make a new or rebuilt home possible for some of our new friends in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Members of the church have also made quilts and provided furniture from our Katrina fund. If you would like to make a special donation earmarked for this purpose, please contact our business manager, Carolyn Johnston.
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance and the Presbytery of Mississippi, working with other non-profit organizations, have provided materials, tools, and supervision for the jobs. To help and to learn learn more about post-Katrina efforts in the U.S. Gulf, click here.

First Sunday in Lent, we explore "Vulnerable Love" in worship and our Sunday Seminar Bible study of John 3:1-17; also by writing letters to Governor Brown about fracking. We'll show Brene Brown's TEDTalk in the after-worship Bible study.
