At First Pres, we understand how important it is to teach school-age
children about the Christian faith in a way that's positive and meaningful
to them. Our volunteer teachers attend training sessions and work with
lesson plans that are based around a common theme. Our goal isn't just
to give kids the "facts," but to help them experience what
Christian faith is all about. We encourage our Children to question
any ideas brought up in class - and our teachers aren't afraid to
leave the discussion open-ended. The most important concept we foster
each week is that, in our church, all are loved, supported and accepted
for the unique individuals they are.
