Wholeness and Healing Service - First Wednesday every month. 7:00 - 7:30 p.m. With music and liturgy from the Iona and Taizé Communities in a quiet, candlelit setting. Ideal for prayer and meditation.
Communion - First Sunday of every month and every Sunday during Lent.
World Communion Sunday - A festive celebration the first Sunday of October with special liturgy and music with guest musicians.
Food Offering for Marin Food Bank - Non-perishable food items are brought forward and placed in the food barrel as part of the offering every Sunday. We fill the barrel at least once a month.
Cents-ability Offering (Two cents-a-meal) - The last Sunday of each month monies are brought forward and placed in a basket during the offering. All of the offering goes to programs to relieve hunger.
Deacon’s Offering - Collected on the first Sunday of each month, this offering is used for emergency assistance, primarily for members within our congregation.
Fall Jazz Fest - First Sunday after Labor Day, the Jazz Fest is the event marking the return to a full Fall schedule of activities. All-church barbecue following worship.
Choral Special Events - On the second Sunday of June and the second Sunday of December, singers from the Marin community join our choir in presenting a major choral work which takes the place of the sermon.
“My Labor, My Work, My Ministry” - The Sunday before Labor Day each year, the sermon is presented by members of the congregation speaking about their work and their faith.
Thanksgiving - An ongoing tradition of an ecumenical service which rotates annually among St. John’s Episcopal Church, St. Anselm’s Roman Catholic Church, and our church. In 2009 the service was at St. Anselm's and Dr. Whitt preached. In 2010, it will take place at St. John's.
Christmas Eve - A pageant of the Christmas Story is presented by the children and youth at the family service at 6:00 p.m., and the traditional Presbyterian Candlelight service occurs at 10:30 p.m. following a presentation of seasonal music at 10:00 pm.
