Sunday School at First Presbyterian Church

We use “Seasons of the Spirit” as our Sunday School curriculum. “Seasons of the Spirit” is a lectionary-based curriculum, meaning that the classes hear and discuss the same scriptures that guide the preachers' sermons each week. An international team of writers writes the curriculum and they use both art and music to delve into the meaning of the scriptures.

Our teachers are volunteers from the congregation who are familiar with the curriculum and have a great love for the students. Currently, we use the team approach to teaching with each teacher leading the class for a month. They are assisted by high school youth from our Youth Group (see their page, currently under construction!). The parents of the Sunday school children pick them up in their classrooms after the worship service. 

In the summer, we have a short six week Summer Sunday School, using Vacation Bible School materials for fun, learning, and exploration.
